  • Eatin' mashed pateetees

Well since Brandon won't stop playing dota, I guess I'll update for all of my eager friends that read this. Har har... I started school again on Monday. I think I might enjoy this quarter. My math TA actually speaks English pretty well (surprisingly) and writes from left to right on the chalk board! That is quite the feat based on the performance of my TAs the previous two quarters. Although I did like my math TA last quarter since she was a cute petite Russian girl. I have this weird fascination with Russians. haha...

Anyway, I've already skipped one lecture on accident. >_<  I don't know what happened, I swear! I had worked the night before and I think I turned off my alarm at some point because I woke up at 9:28AM, 1.5 miles away from the class that was starting in two minutes. Needless to say, I just went back to sleep since that's my only Wednesday class and it was pouring rain, as usual. I'm also taking this awesome Modern European History class. I haven't been to the quiz section yet, but the lectures are fun. I'm actually procrastinating on the seemingly infinite readings for the class as I type this! I have to read Candide and about 45 more pages from excerpts of other works...by tomorrow morning. Fortunately I've already read Candide, so I'm not too worried. Obviously I wouldn't be sitting here if doing this if I was worried. Okay, I probably would. =]

In other news, I'm absolultely broke now. I paid tuition a couple days ago and of course spent a ridiculous amount of money on books and physics clickers (because the required chem clickers apparently aren't compatible with the receiver for physics clickers, so we instead have to buy two completely useless clickers...what a brilliant idea!!)  This school is breakin' my balls son!  And I paid this months full rent, so that also contributed to the ball breakage. And by ball I mean wallet, of course. Then you have to factor in food, net, and my espresso addiction. I miss living with my parents. Sigh... I should be getting a raise soon though so maybe that will make up for it a little bit. Oh AND after I send in my taxes I should be getting a fat ass return. w00t!!  Mmm I have this sudden craving for Renaissance Faire. =/  I can't wait until October for the festivities to begin. Okay, I'm going to attempt homework now. This post is failing more and more as time passes. Tis all!

  • Ahh it's finally spring break! It is officially time to rid myself of all anxiety and stress, well, for a week. After my last exam I went to thee greatest coffee shop with Brandon and finally just read for the pure joy of reading. One thing led to another (another being quantum physics), and before we knew it, we were on our merry way to the video store to check out "What the Bleep Do We Know".  Despite the all-mighty Ramtha's (being channeled via JZ Knight of course) enlightening advice, I found the film to be nothing short of an absolute failure to mankind. The worst part is that they attempt to throw in scientific jargon to add some validity to their crumbling logic. On top of this, they present the audience with border line hallucinogenic animations to display our faltering view of existence that we're all subjected to on a daily basis, all while playing these new age mind-stimulating melodies, perhaps to enhance the acid trip that people must be experiencing if they believe this quackery. I'm not even going to go into "Dr" Emoto's water experiments.  I would continue if it weren't for this overpowering desire to sleep. Damn you, sleep!

  • Footprints? When the hell did xanga implement this? I'm not too sure I'm comfortable with people knowing how often I troll their xangas. Hahaha. Seriously though, this is a big kick in the nuts for all the stalkers out there, myself included. I really wish they had that feature when I had my old account though. It would be interesting to see how often a certain somebody stopped by my page (right Christine?). hahah.

Well I should be off to reading. I'm hoping to finish The Brothers Karamazov by the end of this week (probably not going to happen) since I ordered six other books online that should be arriving soon. Luckily I'm off most of the week, so there is a TINY possibility that I'll be able to get through it. I only have two finals which are on Wednesday an Thursday, which should both be pretty easy despite the lack of effort I've put into the classes.  >_<  I already got through the exam from hell on Saturday. Yes, Saturday. They jewed us out of two studying days since finals weren't technically supposed to start until Monday. Damn professors! So I've been really anxious about the results of that exam. I ended up getting an answer for every question, which is usually a good sign in math. Haha. Gah I'm going to read so that I'll stop thinking about it.

    --------

Ironically, right after I finished writing this I stumbled across somebody's post about their e-stalker. I guess the footprints are pretty useful in that respect.  Still a little weird though.

    --------

Okay, last update to this bad boy.  I know I've already said this several times, but this damn footprint thing is really creeping me out. I come on the internet to break away from reality, but it's hard to establish my own reality when I can see all these damned real people that have stopped by this page. And then I click the link to see their page (because I'm a hypocrite and really find this whole thing pretty intriguing) only to find it's actually just somebody whose page I have looked at, and they were likely just seeing who the was looking at THEIR page. And now I look like even more of a stalker because I've visited their page multiple times in the wee hours of the night. Hahah. Am I blowing this out of proportion (that's what she said...)?  Well if I've visited your page several times tonight, I'm not stalking you, I'm just a total noob at this whole not looking like a stalker thing.
